Mahan Air has authorized to carry dangerous goods<img alt="" src="" style="BORDER:px solid;" />Mahan Air has authorized to carry dangerous goods2015-08-03T19:30:00Zaccording to the Public Relations of Civil Aviation Organization, Mehdi Ali Asgari said that during 3 phases, experts of flight operations, investigated equipment and facilities constructed by Mahan Air, studied amendment of operations manual (OM), appraised selected instructor of dangerous goods, evaluated the recommended personnel for the reception, cellar , loading ,etc<br>Ali Asgari said that after carrying out the necessary checks, the amendment OM (OM, Part-E4) was finalized and permission for air transportation of dangerous goods- inserted in Mahan’s flight certificate (AOC)-in July, 2015 was issued.<br>Ali Asgari maintained: the process of auditing and inspecting different departments of Mahan air lasted more than a year and a half and about 1,000 hours experts monitored the implementation process.<br>Finally, he noted that in the first phase, Mahan air, in accordance with the terms of the AOC, only is allowed to carry dangerous goods with low and medium risk, in case of the full compliance with the requirements of the Civil Aviation Organization, limitations contained in this certificate shall be removed.<br>It should be noted that Mahan air after Iran air is the second Iranian company that succeed to receive this certificate.<br><br>

It is also the airline’s first regular flight to China.</p><p>The thrice weekly flights are operating via 299 seat A340-300 in two class configuration offering superb Persian hospitality. Flight W5 079 arrived at Beijing Capital Airport to an impressive water salute, following its 8 hour nonstop journey from the airline’s operational hub in Tehran.</p><p>All passengers and operating crew of the maiden flight received a warm welcome from the airport officials. Beijing now join two other Chinese gateways for Mahan Air after Shanghai and Guangzhou for a total of 13 flights per week. Beijing will be Mahan’s third destination in China which the airline hopes will add to its success in Shanghai and Guangzhou where it has been operating since 2011. The three times weekly flights will be operating via 249 seat Airbus A340 in two class configuration. <br>Munich will be the airline’s second destination in Germany after Dusseldorf which Mahan has been serving for more than a decade. This attractive city is the driving force behind Germany’s strong economy and has great appeal for leisure and business travelers. The flight will be operated twice weekly on Sundays and Wednesdays and the frequency will be increased to three weekly as of March next year. The flight schedule for both new routes will allow passengers to experience convenient connections via our hub in Tehran to other destinations in Mahan Air route network. <br> Mahan is one of the fastest growing airlines in the Middle East flying to more than 50 destinations within Iran and points in Europe, Middle East and the Far East. Mahan Air Celebrates Yerevan Launch<img alt="" src="" width="624" style="BORDER:0px solid;" />Mahan Air Celebrates Yerevan Launch2014-06-10T19:30:00Z<p>​​Mahan, on Monday June 1<sup>st</sup>, celebrated the launch of thrice, non-stop services to ZVARTNOTS   International Airport   with a Gala Dinner at a five star hotel in beautiful city of Yerevan. <br> The function was attended by over 100 VIP guests including high ranking officials from Armenia Civil Aviation  ,Zvartnots Airport , Mahan Air and  travel trade professionals  to celebrate the opening of this route.<br> Earlier in the day, Mahan held a small press gathering at the airport upon landing of its flight from Tehran with 100% seat load factor.  "We strongly believe that the convenience of our non-stop flights from Tehran together with the connectivity options to the Middle East and Far East destinations will further facilitate great boost for business and leisure visitors between our two countries of Iran and Armenia" said Mr. Hossein Hosseini Director of Marketing and Route Development of Mahan Air.</p><p>The expansion, he stressed, was part of the airline's ongoing growth strategy – a long-term commitment to develop its route infrastructure and fleet. The flights are being performed by 185 seats A310 with two class configuration.  </p>
