Mahan Air introduced an additional weekly flight on Thursdays between Shanghai and Tehran to make the total weekly frequencies on this route to 3 effective 11 April, 2012. This is in response to ever increasing demand for dependable direct passenger and cargo services between Iran and China. All flights to China are operated via two class 245 seat Airbus 300-600 equipment.
